Andy,
I don't know of any word processors that would handle it, but what
about the poor trees?!? Most of my family has more than 6 footnotes,
(unless I do unique footnotes) and with 28,000 people, you are looking
at about 30,000 pieces of paper.

I'm in a similar position... 28,754 people that I want to do individual
narratives on- each on its own page with a minimum of 6 footnotes each
plus an
index

Is anyone aware of ANY wordprocessing program that can handle such a
file??
