Hi, Susan:
Before you throw in the towel, you have two more options:
1. Use a utility to unZIP the latest backup file to a **new, empty**
folder, and see what you get. (If you don't have such a utility, ask -- the
"standard" is WinZIP, but there are downloadable, free, programs
available.) If things are going well, there will be a lot of files in the
new folder, all beginning with the same string of characters. If most of
them end in DBF, and one of them ends in _.TMG (underscore-period-T-M-G)
then you should attempt to use TMG 4.0d to "open" the file ending in _.TMG.
2. Contact Wholly Genes Support. They may have instructions for you, or
they may ask you to send a copy of the file. My experience with WG Support
has been limited, but their response was outstanding.
By the way ... if SAUVE is French Canadian, was it a "dit" name originally?
I have "LaPlante dit Sauve" and possibly "Sauve dit LaPlante" (with other
variations [grin]) in my own ancestry.
For what it may be worth.
