You can also tell it to sort it under Van if you would rather it sort
that way. Just put Van Gogh in the sortsurname field of the name.
Richard, what I did was copy the standard style and added in all the
fields and then set that new style as the standard for that data set.
It does look like the standard style would output all fields.

Yes, the pre-surname field is intended for things link "van", "von" "de"
"le" or any prefix in front of the name when you don't want that to
affect
the sorting. Thus van Gogh, with the van in the pre-surname field would
sort
under "G". The standard name style does not use the pre-surname field so
you
need to create a custom style to use it. I wish the Standard style
included
the pre-surname field (and the prefix field) in its output templates.
