Don, by "my country" do you mean Canada and specifically the province of
Saskatchewan. In the USA most people still use the mmm dd yyyy format
but in genealogy more and more are converting to the dd mmm yyyy format
that is used and recognized in more places.

I personally write all dates in the dd mmm yyyy format unless forced by
a form to do it differently.
