Sorry about the assumption.

If you want to allow you father to unlock the program he needs to use
the same first name, last name and email ID that is on the message
giving you the unlock code.

This should work on any version of 5.x that he has and I would suggest
that he download the current version before installing it. It can be
downloaded on at the URL given on the same message that has the unlock
code.
