Yes, there is - update your version of XP, Mary Ann. The bogus warning about
TMG being incompatible was in early releases of XP but has since been
removed.

There are, of course, other, more important reasons to update Windows - bug
fixes, security updates etc. The software supplied with new computers is
often out of date because they have been sitting in the store/warehouse for
a while before purchase. So always check for updates, particularly for the
operating system and the anti-virus program, as soon as you have the new
computer set-up and before you load (or download) anything else.

For the future, you can configure XP to check for updates automatically. Go
to Start > Control Panel > System > Automatic Updates. Check the boxes "Keep
my computer up to date" and "Download the updates automatically and notify
me when they are ready to be installed".

I have my laptop set up in this way and, when I switched it on this evening
it immediately notified me that new updates were ready to install.
