I was wrong when I said that the footnote text was not exported.
If you alter the footnote text so that it differs from that automatically
generated and export to GEDCOM, the footnote is exported in its entirety to
a NOTE tag subordinate to the SOUR tag.
If you then import the GEDCOM to TMG, the text from both the PAGE and NOTE
tags subordinate to the SOUR tag is added to the Citation Detail field.
If you import directly, only the FTM CD data is imported, not the footnote
text.
So...
1) You can get the data added to the footnote field in by GEDCOM import.
(Use PAF, GEDCOM 5.5, ANSI export settings).
2) Every CD where a footnote is included will require editing if the FTW CD
had text since the CD text will be duplicated.
