I have found no problems with the source data import (via GenBridge) from
FTM 9. Based on this I believe that if you copy your data in FTM from the
Footnotes field to the Citation Text field that it will import correctly.

Getting data correctly into TMG 5 from (the more limited) FTM can take
quite a bit of work but many of us have done (or are doing) it and we
believe that it will be worth the effort.
