This is what I did when I imported from FTM into TMG. I only had two
compound surnames (Van Sciver & Van Seiver), and I had entered them into
FTM as \Van Sciver\ & \Van Seiver\, so TMG handled it nicely. I used the
"backward" slash '\' rather than the "forward" slash '/', but I'm not sure
if that matters.
Since Terry wrote that no one uses these slashes, I'll at least mention
that I only used them for these two surnames. :-) I don't ever remember
why I entered them into FTM that way.
