Hi again Pat,
OK then, lets try the option settings back in TMG then - I've successfully
generated indexes for Word 2000 using Windows XP, probably not in a Journal
report though
I see what you mean! My first attempt didn't mark up any index entries. My
second did however.
With output to Word 2000, Index set under the options just for a combined
index, surname and first names checked along with city in the places, I got
entries, inserted my Index in the resulting doc and hey presto.
What did, or didn't, you have checked under the Index options?
Regards

Hi Lorna,
Thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately, when I try to insert the index
I get the message "Error - no index entries found" so that doesn't seem to
be the problem. I have made a variety of Index options selections (place
only, name only, combined) and nothing seems to make a difference.
Something I failed to mention on the first post: I am exporting to Word
2000/Wordperfect 11, and run on Windows XP. This one has got me stumped.
Pat
