Subject: [TMG] LatLong Field for [REPOSITORY ADDRESS] or [REPOSITORY INFO] Sourc e Elements

All,

In working with the Cemetery Source I discovered that I have another
question or two. However it deals with how the LatLong field is or is not
used as a part of the [REPOSITORY ADDRESS] or [REPOSITORY INFO] Source
Elements.

Typically, unless you have either a place style set NOT to use the L9 field
or choose the specific location fields that you what to print, all location
fields print from L1 through L10. However I've found that this is NOT true
for the [REPOSITORY ADDRESS] or [REPOSITORY INFO] Source Elements. I
recently entered in a cemetery as a repository, and its LatLong information
since it was available. And since I didn't have a custom place style yet
established for repositories, I had expected to see the L9 field print as a
part of the source. It however does not. Which is fine with me.

But then that leads to the other question, from what I know both the
[REPOSITORY ADDRESS] and [REPOSITORY INFO] Source Elements display / print /
use the same information. And since they (currently in my dataset) use the
U.S. Standard Place style I would have expected them to print that field,
why not?

Then what is the difference between the [REPOSITORY ADDRESS] and [REPOSITORY
INFO] Source Elements? If they use the same information, it seems kind of
redundant to have elements that display the same information, especially
when the [REPOSITORY ADDRESS] is the more correct label for what is being
presented.

Thank you for your time,
Kevin L. Sholder
