The term "Preponderance of Evidence" was used for many years to support a
lot of invalid data due to a great many sources all pointing to each other
as their source. Thus when the source of a source was traced back it was
found to be no source at all. Thus the use of the term as a source was
thrown out by the Board for Certification of Genealogists and a number of
other genealogy related organizations including DAR and others.

When Amy suggested the term Preponderance of Evidence I thought it sounded
good. But since a number of genealogy related orgainizations don't like the term
I would hesitate to use it. Even though I'm not planning on submitting
anything to them now who knows what will happen in the future.
My original suggestion was a "Conclusion" sourse. Perhaps a "Conclusion based
on evidence" (with the evidence in the citation detail)
or can anyone think of a better term
