Pat,

I think this works, especially if you do it with Roles. The first would be
the regular "Principal" Burial role and the second a custom "Local Burial"
role. Then you would just pick which ever is appropriate from the drop-down
list of roles without having to tweak the sentences for each person.

I agree with Bob, too, about leaving in the city. You would just add <[L3]>
to the sentence. And you could have a third role for your FamPlot
situation.

Another idea would be to have one burial tag, but for those buried in the
same town, etc., customize the
tag sentence to "parse" the tag to include the information you want.

Change [L] to be [L1] for that person's tag.

This is assuming, of course that your "addressee" is the name of the
cemetery. If not, it would be [L2] or
whatever.

I have [L2} for specific directions to a cemetery, and when a whole family
is buried there, I don't like
having the information in every person's information on a page, say in a
journal report. So, for those
people, I would use <[L1]>.

Elizabeth, I have never used place styles but I can accomplish what you
want without them.

In the first case the Location for Death would be City = Dover and State
= Ohio. For Burial Detail = Mt. Calvary Cemetery, City = -Dover and
State = -Ohio.

In the Second Death Location City = Youngstown and State = Ohio. The
Burial would be Detail = Mt. Calvary Cemetery, City = Dover and State =
Ohio.

However I do not agree with omitting the City in the Cemetery location
as someone reading your report may no know that Mt. Calvary Cemetery is
in Dover unless he was familiar with the area.

You can search on any field "contains" and you will get all the
occurrences.
