The Source of a Source field in the Source Definition Screen is for your
use only and does not print anywhere. The feature has been requested.

If you wish to indicate that in the printed citation that the data in a
Source came from another Source, you must add that into the Source Citation
as part of the Source Template. One way would be to create the Source
record of the original document and "copy" the Preview information for
pasting into the second Source that you are actually citing probably with a
notation such as "as cited in" or "citing" prefixing the "original" Source
citation.

An example might be:
Iam N. Author, [ITAL:]Some Book Title[:ITAL] (Someplace, State:
A Publishing Company, 1 Jan 1997) citing James Johnson, Birth
Certificate 434567 (25 Nov 1978), Kentucky Department of Human
Resources, Birth Registrar, Frankfort, Kentucky.

The "as cited in" or "citing" plus the "original" citation might be entered
in the Citation Detail or in the secondary Source Memo field. If in the
Memo field, you may need to adjust the Source Template to include that
Source Element.

Hope this helps -
