Cheryl,

Would having two separate sentences work? One for the single situation and
one for the multiple.

That's what I have done occasionally when the tense did not read
right....i.e. Num-child tag when there is only one child. (Note: this was
a custom sentence situation.) I think witness sentences are more difficult
to work with because the computer "pointer" is still pointing at the P1 or
P2 person. Even when I think I have it figured out and perfectly good
sentence....and folks even say it should work....it doesn't. I just keep
experimenting until it works.
