Subject: Problem with accents

Greetings:
I'm using TMG 5.14, only one project, only one dataset.
I have an accent set up for a flag value, which is working fine.
I am trying to set an accent for a field value in an Other Event Group Tag.
In File --> Accent I have
Accent names by the FIRST matching condition
My accent conditions are:
Any Other Event Group tag; Role = SHOW|NOSHOW|NOLINKS colors light blue on dark purple
MY_ANC#1 = Y colors black on yellow
I have confirmed more times than I care to admit that the Tag Type "Withheld" is in the Other Event Group. I have looked more times than *that* at each person for which the first accent condition is met to confirm that they are linked to the Tag using one of the three Roles. But whether I click "Apply" from the Accent definition screen, or I exit the Accent screen with OK, the program doesn't listen to me any more than if I were tapdancing in the next county on a trampoline coated with Jell-O. The names of those who *should* have the accent, continue to be in the colors defined under File --> Preferences --> Options --> Current Project Options --> Colors.
Creating three separate accent conditions, one for each Role, doesn't help. Exiting and restarting TMG does not help either. Same goes for restarting the PC.
