I did extensive testing with this when the Married flag came up some time
ago.

The Married flag was added rather late in Generations development. What I
found is that the Married flag was not updated globally for pre-existing
data. The Married flag is only set for new entries to Family cards or if the
Edit Family screened is opened for an existing couple.

To demonstrate that, I opened an older Generations database in Gen8 to
update to Gen8. I then imported to TMG. A couple with no marriage data was
not imported.

I then opened and immediately closed the Edit Family screen for that couple
in Generations. When the screen was displayed, I could see that the Married
flag was set. I imported again to TMG. This time the couple was imported.

That shows that the Married flag is set on opening the Edit Family screen
for pre-existing couples and once the flag is set, TMG will import the
couples.

I could not find any way to globally update the Married flag for all couples
on Family Cards. I made several inquiries about this issue and received no
responses. If you know how to accomplish this, please share the method.
