Tim,

There was one more experiment that needed to be run.

New database
Add a male and a female to a Family Card
Open the Edit Family screen You can see that the Marriage flag. Cancel to
exit the Edit Family screen.
Import to TMG - Marriage event is not created

So... it is necessary to open the family Edit screen and to Save to
affirmatively set the Marriage flag in Generations 8.5a.
