Subject: Stale index (CDX) files

I often run a script to copy my TMG files from a laptop to a
desktop; normally all new work gets done on the (faster) laptop.
I've recently stopped copying the .CDX files, since they are large,
and get regenerated if missing. However, it has occurred to me to
wonder if that is wise, since I don't know if new index files are
really getting created when TMG is run on the desktop. If they
aren't it seems quite possible (likely?) that corruption could occur
due to stale index files.

Does anyone have some knowledge or experience relevant to this?

Thanks,
John
