Doug, Jim and I have been looking at this more closely, and found a
issue. The instructions on the WG web page for merging the the two
datasets contain an error, which causes the UK tags to not appear in
the resulting dataset. The correct settings for step 2 are:

2. [Merge] it with your data set(s) using these settings:
Data set A: Your data set
Data set B: New Stuff
(x) Merge A to B (Data set A remains intact)

Notice the A and B in the last line are reversed.

If you do the merge this way the UK tag types appear in the merged
dataset, and when they have the same name as the existing tag types,
the UK sentences will be applied.

There is an issue with sentences locally modified in the existing
data. When you use the EnglishUK language for reports the default
sentences will apply instead. John Cardinal's utility has a feature
for copying local sentences to another language, which should solve
this problem. See Help for his Utility for details, or refer to my
article on Languages for some discussion of this issue - it's at

Sentence Structures between Languages" near the bottom.

I believe, but haven't tested, that there may be a similar issue with
any standard tag types for which you have modified the sentences - I
think the UK sentence, if one exists, will be applied, and if not I
think the default US sentence applies.
