Bob,
I don't know if this will help, but my Head of Household sentence is (note
you might want to leave out all the stuff at the front. This is the 1840
census.)
[:CR:][:TAB:]Article I, section 2, of the U.S. Constitution requires that a
decennial population census, a nationwide enumeration or count of the
population, be taken every 10 years. The 1840 census included a special
inquiry regarding pensioners for Revolutionary or military service. This
section named persons who were either family heads or members and specified
the pensioner's age, not just a range of ages. [R:Head of Family] was
listed as a head of a family on the 1840 census < [L]>. Based on ages, it
is possible that the following were also living in the household: <[R:free
wh male 00-05], a free white male, newborn to 5 years old, ><[R:fr wh males
00-05], free white males, newborn to 5 years old, ><[R:free wh male 05-10],
a free white male, age five to ten years old, > <[R:fr wh males 05-10], free
white males, age five to ten years old, ><[R:free wh male 10-15], a free
white male, age ten to fifteen years old, ><[R:fr wh males 10-15], free

Then I attach the children into the right age range. More than one sex gets
the plural role. It is hard to set them up this way, but when you do, in
the witness PV, you not only will see the 1840 census tag but also the role
will remind you how old he/she was during that time period.

Subject: [TMG] Custom Tag Cenus 17901840
I have created a tag Census17901840 with a sentence: [P] <|and probably
[PO]> appeared in the census <[D]> <at [L]><and the household also
included probably [WO]> <and the household also included [M1]><[M2]>.
If I have enough evidence to include the spouse I make her P2 and enough
evidence to include children or others I add them as Witnesses. If I am
not sure of the spouse or others, I put my conclusions in M1. M2 is the
Census numbers. If I have Witnesses I have to leave M1 empty.
Is there any way besides creating two Tags to have M1 print yet have
Witnesses to the tag so that I can see in the Detail that he is possibly
in the Census?
Census17901840M with the sentence: "[P] <|and probably [PO]> appeared in
the census <[D]> <at [L]> <and the household also included [M1]>
<[M2]>"
Census17901840W with the sentence: "[P] <|and probably [PO]> appeared in
the census <[D]> <at [L]><and the household also included probably [WO]>
<[M2]>"
