But the only place you will see this information without the Given Name is
in the Person View of the Details Window. Since the Primary Name Tag is
shown at the top of this window and if it would (normally) be the same,
then the added information is redundant.
By having the Name-Marr Tag, you allow TMG to "index" the name both by the
Primary name as well as the married name and TMG will automatically pick up
the Primary Given Name when it indexes the married name (in other words,
TMG will "imply" the Given Name for the Name-Marr Tag from the Primary name
of the person). Thus the only time you need to enter a Given Name in a
Name-Marr Tag is when it is different than the Given Name in the Primary
Name Tag.

Suffixes do not normally transfer to a woman from her husband. Thus a wife
would not be called something like: "Mrs. Jane Smith Jr.". On the other
hand and consistent with the last sentence of my response above, if the
married name is "Mrs. Joseph Smith Jr." then you would need to enter the
Prefix, Given Name, and Suffix in the Name-Marr Tag.

Yes, and it also allows her to be found under her husband's name in the
Picklist and Project Explorer. These automatically pick up the Given Name
if it is not entered. Thus there is no need to enter the Given Name in the
Name-Marr Tag.
Now I use the word "need" above advisedly. If you think the Given Name
should be entered in the Name-Marr Tag (when it is the same as that of the
Primary Name Tag), then it is needed. However, based on the provisions of
TMG, it is a lot of extra work that in my opinion you do not "need" to do.
Hope this helps -
