Subject: Splitting a V5 Project
Date: Sat, 02 Oct 2004 18:02:44 +1000
I have a One-Name study, imported from V4 as a single V5 Project.
As such, it is really composed of several discrete sets of data, that,
short of a genealogical miracle, will always remain separate and unlinked.
So, I would like, to increase speed of searches etc, to split the
Project into some separate data sets. I have flagged each set, so I can
already use a Filter, or use the flags to signal which records are "to go".
In the Users' Guide, there are instructions for "Copying" to another
Data Set, but not "Moving" a person.
Could someone please supply a step by step guide to removing a family
line from the mixture of my current Project, isolating them as a
separate Data Set within the same Project. That way I can choose to
view them within the One-Name Project study or just as separate Data.
