Hi, Laurie:
You said you "struggled intermittently" with UFT. I take from that comment that your Roots III files are not missing anything significant compared with your UFT files.
That being the case, I suggest you download the 30-day free trial of TMG, import your Roots III files, and see what happens. Make sure you try the import multiple times with various options if anything is not as you would like; save each set of imported files until you are done.
If this turns out not to be satisfactory you are no worse off than now.
