Yes. That would be one way to do it. It depends on whether you want the
rank shown in all situations and/or if the rank should be (at times)
appended as a suffix along with the military service designator. In most
cases, you would want the military rank before the name.

Another method is to use the Prefix field for military rank. The man
(albeit minor) problem here is that you must create a Custom Name Style
since the Prefix field is not used in the 'U.S. Standard Name' Style.

Either way would be acceptable and there are probably other equally
acceptable options. Both of the above methods would work whether used for
the Primary or non-Primary name Tags.
