Back when I didn't know better, I added tons of data to my wife's family
tree without entering citations. Now I'm in the process of back-filling
the citations, and boy is it a bugger.
First I go to a child of a marriage entry on the 'Details' window and
add the citation there. Then I go to the child's 'Details' window and
add the same source to 1. the name, 2. the birth, 3. the marriage, 4.
the married name, 5. each child, and so on, and then do it all again for
the children, and the citation is always the same source.
Is there a way to add a citation to a subset of my data base globally?

Take it from me; add your citations when you add the data. On the
'add-a- person' window, adding the citation once will cover name, birth,
death, marriage.
