I agree with Juergen Drees that I have not found any problem with the relationship calculator but I have not checked it extensively.

The automated Relation tag does not always work correctly. I realize that it does not recalculate every time a change is made and must be done manually. What I have found is that when adding a new person the relationship is calculated and displayed correctly. But if you open a father or mother tag, even if no changes are made, by clicking OK instead of Cancel the automated Relation tag is now changed to "no blood relationship". It is then necessary go to preferences and turn off the automated relationship and turn it back on to recalculate the relationship.

The really annoying part is that after the recalculation TMG is always grayed out and I have to go to the help menu and check for updates to close the program and reload it so it will function. At least I'm usually one of the first to download updates.

Are you sure that relationship calculator is not working correct?
I have had some occasions when automated Relation tag or Relationship
Chart report were wrong (not using the most direct relation) but have
never seen that problem with Relationship Calculator.

For me Relationship Calculator was always right, even with multiple
relationships.

I hope so for autom. Relation tag and Relationship chart as well.
