I just learned the reason why TMG will not report such relationships:
TMG finds a relationship through a common pair of ancestors (no matter
how far back that pair is), it does not go beyond that pair to see how
they might have been be related if the first relationship didn't
exist.

This is true for your married couple and therefore TMG does treat
their children and grandchildren as anything else than children or
grandchildren.

>From programers point of you, what you would like to have is almost
impossible (at least it is illogical). The child of your married
couple (Bernhard and Agnes) is also his own 2nd cousin and since that
relationship to himself is through a loop you could go that loop again
and again to find much more relationships.

I don't know but it has probably been the same in v4.

Yes, see above. The problem will happen with all such constellations.
You may create a brother to Lawrence and will see that he isn't listed
as second cousin but only as brother.

Kind regards, Juergen
