Lee,

I edited from TMG and also from MSW (2000). I believe that I said the
wrong thing when I said 254 characters after a paragraph character. I
believe that the paragraphs (CR LF) characters in a .DOC are no longer
called paragraph markers in the document when saved as .TXT but serve the
same purpose.

After each edit the same problem was still there.

It seem as though there is some parameter concerning line length when
generating the .DOC file for MSW to open.

I seem to recall a similar problem when generating a GEDCOM file where
long text lines were broken up according to a character limit parameter
for text.
