Thanks for the responses and the ensuing discussion. I do think the burial
entries going into "burial date" instead of "burial" is an issue with the
import, I have tried it twice specifying which field to use ( as I have to
for christening also) and the program is not listening. So I gave it a
time out and will try again today. At this point I am obviously still
learning the program and everything done so far has just been practice. I
did try changing the tags, however the correct tag does not show up in the
list.
I immediately discovered that two new tags needed to be created, for
conversion (religious) and memorial service. I was very disappointed to
discover that creating a new tag does not make it universal, I have to
create it for each tag. I can understand repositories and sources not
being universal, but I was hoping that tags and place styles would be
universal. Well, as Grandma used to say, no rest for the wicked.
