Allen,
That's true. Still, there a number of WikiPedia articles related to
calendars and they are all cross-referenced. Many cite printed and online
sources. Those sources may or may not be authoritative with respect to the
calendar change being discussed. In general, I do not exclude web-based
sources simply because they are not supported by printed sources, and
WikiPedia specifically has a good reputation.

I don't think that question can be answered by a single source or a brief
discussion. If that's a requirement, her original post would generate no
responses.
For other people interested in the general topic...
The posted URL was:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Calendar#Julian_and_Gregorian_calendars
That specific section of the article includes links to articles on the
Julian and Gregorian calendars. The Gregorian is of particular interest:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gregorian_calendar
The Julian to Gregorian change is discussed on that page here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gregorian_calendar#Adoption_outside_of_Roman_Ca
tholic_nations
New Style and Old Style are discussed here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old_Style_and_New_Style_dates
If you feel any of the information given in WikiPedia is incomplete,
misleading, or wrong, you can amend the entry.
