I just ran a Relationship report on someone related to me in two ways (with
the "Show closest relationship only" option unchecked. I got a strange
combination of the two relationships:
Common ancestor
Siblings
Wylanta Annie (g-grandmother)
James (spouse)
1st cousins
William (subject)
2nd cousins
3rd cousins
Virginia (Me)
Siblings Rebecca (3g-grandmother)
1st cousins
James
Wylanta (spouse)
2nd cousins
William (subject) Annie (g-grandmother)
3rd cousins
4th cousins
5th cousins
Virginia (Me)
The relationships are correct EXCEPT that the second "Siblings" are attached
to the first "3rd cousins" so that it looks like Rebecca is my descendant!
There is no common ancestor shown for this second relationship. And only one
relationship is noted in text at the end of the chart: William is the 2nd
cousin 3 times removed of Virginia. (Wylanta and James are 1st cousins 1
time removed.)
This looks like a bug to me. I'm using V.6. I don't recall what this
looked like in V. 5.

Fran,
In the Relationship Chart did you check or uncheck the option that says show
closest relationship only? (On the Miscellaneous tab

I was just yesterday checking the Relationship Calculator and came up with
slightly odd results. My parents were second cousins, and it correctly
stated that. It listed me and either parent as daughter as well as second
cousin one time removed. Then I ran it with me and my sister. Where it
should have listed us as third cousins as well as sisters, it only listed
sisters.
In checking the above with the Relationship Chart report, I come up with the
same results as Peter, only one relationship listed for father/daughter and
did not list second cousins 1 time removed.
I think this may have been mentioned previously on TMG-L, and I don't
consider it important, just a slight oddity.
