Yes, "Include blank surety" is checked. Upon un-checking this option, and re-running the same report, TMG immediately reports "There were no descendants of the selected person". Hmmmm -- there were 500+ when it was checked!

Further experimental results:

(1) On the same PC, the same individuals are blanked out in HTML and MS Word V.8 outputs.
(2) On a different PC (home PC vs. office PC), from the same database, I find no errors in the output when I select MS Word V.6. The HTML and MS Word V.8 outputs still have errors on the home PC, but I THINK they're different individuals than the ones that were blanked at the office -- guess I need to collect reports from both computers and compare the results.
