Subject: Re: [TMG] V6 Journal Report -- Blank Childrens' Names

Thank you Paul.
Yep, being the lazy type, I leave "Use the Current Focus Person" checked for most reports, including this Journal report. It correctly shows the name and ID# of the person I have selected in the Person View.
On my previous response, the example that I attempted to show lost the carriage return, somehow, and the error did not appear correctly in the transmitted message. I'll do what I should have done in the first place -- cut & paste an actual piece of the report in question. There's some minor formatting loss in the transition to this plain text e-mail, but you'll get the idea.
193. James Albert5 Thompson (Eliza4 Wyscarver, Rhoda3 Wendell, Catherine2 Starr, John1) was born in 1872 at Ohio.
Children of James Albert5 Thompson include:
+ 373 i. .
Then, when I page down to #373, here's what I have:
373. Gladys6 Thompson (James5, Eliza4 Wyscarver, Rhoda3 Wendell, Catherine2 Starr, John1) ( living person, or death date unknown ).
Children of Gladys6 Thompson and (--?--) Felix are:
552 i. Karl7 Felix ( living person, or death date unknown ).
So it's not an actual loss of the data, because the person prints out correctly at the later point in the report. It must be some problem translating the information into the word processor file format. In this case, there was only one child involved, but in some cases where there are multiple children, some print and some don't.
Thanks for the helpful ideas -- all are welcome.
Don
