I took an advance grammar course in college. Dr. Webb, our professor,
pet peeve was teachers who kept saying you are not supposed end to end a
sentence with a preposition. According to her, a word which can be used as a
preposition becomes an adverbial form when it used at the end of a sentence
without an object. Since grammar is her area of expertise, I will never
argue again with anyone who ends a sentence with a word which can be used as
a preposition. --Henry
