So, I want to use the F12 while in, say the death tag for a death
certificate?

Is the Research Task attached to an event (Tag)? If so, yes, the "check
mark" should appear in the "T" column of the Person View of the Details
window. If the Task is not attached to a Tag, then there will not be a
"check mark" for that Task.
