Lee,

Thank you so very much. Your instructions were explicit and I followed them
precisely, however, in my MS Word 2000 the the 'OK' button on the 'Index
and Table' is grayed out. Does this mean an index was not generated by
TMG? Any suggestions?

My report selected:
Journal : custom format.
My Checked Index selections:
People: by surname; also use sort template; (date-date).
Places: largest element first. Combined Index.
Marriages: combined index.
Other: indent subheadings
