Actually, Bob, the IGI ordinance data is available online to LDS members,
and represents the actual dates for the particular ordinance as indicated in
Church records. The personal information, however, represents the "facts"
as submitted by a patron for the purpose of meeting certain qualifications
required for the performance of the ordinance. Thus, one can rely pretty
much on the ordinance data, but must question carefully, the personal data..
which is often in error; with the exception of extracted records, which
have been mentioned previously on this thread. They have been transcribed
from original records and checked by at least 2 persons.. sometimes more.
These can carry a higher surety than patron submitted records.
