I purchased TMG 5 about a year ago, but due to various
situations concerning the health care of elderly
family members and the settling of an estate, I
haven't had a chance to do much with the program.
I am now tring to enter sources, but mine do not seem
to fit the templates. Several years ago, I hired a
genealogist and I have stacks of photocopies of court
records, etc. I know that he only did research at the
county courthouse and the university library. He wrote
the source on each copy, such as "Warren County, Ky.,
Deed Book 5, p. 346"
There are also numerous copies of tax lists labeled
"Warren County tax 1808", etc. I suspect the tax lists
were on film at the university library.
I also have quite a few Catholic Holy cards, which
were distributed at funeral homes or included with
Thank You notes sent, shortly after a funeral, to
those who visited the funeral home. These usually
contain the name, date of birth, and date of death of
the deceased.
While going through my grandmother's estate recently,
I found a box of obituaries. I know that they all came
from Louisville, KY newspapers, but there is no
indication of what newspaper, or page number. There is
only one newspaper in Louisville now, but I know there
were at least two at one time, and the names changed
several times over the years.
Does anyone have suggestions as to how I should enter
these sources?
Thanks!
Carol
