The recent discussions about dummy persons have intrigued me -- one of
these days I'm going to attempt one. BUT -- how about a dummy person
containing each type of tag with the tag's usage guidelines placed in
its memo field? I'm not sure how you'd sort them, but they'd all be in
one place instead of flying around on little slips of paper. :)

Yes, I've pondered that myself, but I'm concerned that it would be bad
for
some reason I can't discern at the moment.

DeAnna,
The best I can think of is to create the tag and in the sentence put
[HID:]
Remarks: "For use on MDS only. 1 paragraph max."[:HID]

I have begun to get fancy (well, fancy-ER) with some new tags in order
to
create the kinds of working reports that I'd like to have. For instance,
I
have created a "lifesketch" tag to be used on my Dollarhide-esque
individual
data sheets. I've also determined that I want to use tags like "Notes"
and
"Anecdote" and "Biography" for other, very specific and limited
purposes.
Naturally I write these intentions down. Equally naturally, I will
inevitably lose those notes or forget to consult them and use something
improperly. I would dearly love to have some sort of remarks field on a
Master Tag Type that would provide some indication -- beyond resorting
to
contortionist naming conventions -- of why I created a particular tag
and
what I want to use it for.

Example: Lifesketch tag. Remarks: "For use on MDS only. 1 paragraph
max."

Just a thought. :)

DeAnna
