I don't think you quite understand the data entry concept. When you add a
person you will enter a certain amount of data (name, sex, dates, places,
and added Memo field data) and then you will add a Source Citation which
indicates the document from which you obtained the data and possibly other
information pointing to the place within the document where the data is
found..
In the case of the Source Citation, you can create a Source for each person
for each document -or- for each document generically. If the latter, you
would create the Source in such a way that it identifies the document (the
register) and then when you add the Source Citation you would add the
specific identifying information as to the line entry in the register, etc.
by entering that in the Citation Detail.
