Ken,
if you want a "proforma" for each type of source in order to save typing,
then you could do as I have and create a new source type (call it say,
UKBMD-Birth) complete with the necessary line headings and then when you
want to add a source of that type, just copy the proforma source, rename it
as appropriate to your current requirements and then add the data. I find
that this method is very useful for census data, where I like to keep it
aligned in columns for readability. I put full stops in the correct field
places to remind me where data should go to retain the alignment and then
input the data in overwrite mode (but beware that TMG has a bug regarding
its display of the writing mode - it is "usually but not always" the inverse
of what is indicated!).
I should add that I put the detailed information from the source in the
source "Memo", rather than the CD associated with the citation of the source
against a tag. That way, if I find I have made a mistake, then I only need
to correct the source itself and all the references to it (citations of it)
are corrected in one go.
