Subject: Re-naming a Source Element
Date: Mon, 01 Aug 2005 17:40:37 -0500

Hi Again!

Still spending my time in Elements & Sources. :-( In the Source
Definition screen 'Manuscript Info' is a default element. I want to
re-name that to 'File Number', both in the same group.I clicked on
Manuscript Info, it brought up the Elements list where I clicked delete
and got a message that Manuscript Info is in use by one or more
templates and cannot be deleted. This one source is the only place where
I've seen Manuscript Info. I do have File Number in two other sources
(birth certificates)--now I'm working on a marriage certificate. I'm
sure its simple as what I've learned so far seems simple now. I'm sure
the fact that File Number and Manuscript Info are in the same group may
be part of the problem. What I want to do is change element names.
Mistakes here don't look easy to edit or back out of!!

I've only constructed 3 sources in the 'trial' project. When it tells
you the element is in use by one or two source templates, where is the
best place to go to get to the root of it to delete it? Is it in the
Source Types/Edit screen? I've read and re-read about these things but
don't seem to find an answer to 'my' exact problem--probably there and I
can't see it. As always thanks for help!

Pauline
