After reading Terry's reply I realized that what I probably wanted was
Witnessed Land Grant as the Field and Role as the Subfield, rather than
Witnessed Role as the subfield.

So I used this filter:
Land Grant County Contains Camden AND
(Land Grant Role=Grantee OR
Witnessed Land Grant Role=Grantee) END

This got me all of the GRANTEES on Land Grant Tags with Camden in the
county, but I only got two of the adjoinees and there are many more.

I then ran this filter:
Land Grant County Contains Camden AND
Witnessed Land Grant Role=Grantee) END

and again I got only 2 people: Moses Knighton and Minor Winn. Here is the
single tag that they are R:Adjoinee on:

Daniel Brown is GRANTEE
John Winn Sr., Josiah Knighton, Moses Knighton are attached as witnesses
with role of ADJOINEE.

So why would the other 2 not come up using this filter since they are all
attached with the SAME role of Adjoinee, and what about the adjoinees on my
other 11 tags?

This is the first part of a research project I am working on and I want to
be able to run reports to update a flag, rather than having to write down
the names of the people as I add them.
