Thanks Karla, I use the time to get caught up on laundry. <G> I put the
scan on, hit PREVIEW, fold fold fold, size it to what I really want, hit
SCAN, and put away. Maybe that's why it's so boring. ;)

Ah yes, the boredom of scanning... well... as I am going abroad for close
to a year, I bought an ipod so I could take favorite music along. In trying
it out prior to departure (up in my library carrel at school), I discovered
that scanning for hours on end is much more palatable when listening to
music.

I wouldn't want to imply that only an ipod will mitigate the boredom of
scanning, but somehow being aurally separate from the outside world works
better for me than just having the radio on. Then again, scanning could be
a great time to listen to NPR or audio books, if you don't have to do much
verbal thinking.
