Jim,

My remembrance of my ?one? abrupt exit could be that it was also connected
to alt+tab between apps (although not IE as I don't generally have it
running).
I generally run with a heap of different apps open, but do have a heap of
memory (1 gig) and since getting my super duper new machine back in Jan I
haven't ever had to close down something cos I didn't have enuf memory
