I had a hunch when I wrote it that it might be misunderstood. What I
meant was to use the caption feature of the word processor(s) which
makes the caption a part of the "box" the graphic is in, so moving the
"box" moves the caption with the graphic.
In Word perfect or Word, right-click on the image and scroll down the
menu to "caption." That's what I meant. Looking at the RTF it doesn't
seem like it would take a lot of work - but of course that kind of
judgement is often proven wrong in practice.

Me too, and I've suggested it several times in the past, giving details
about what I'd like (knowing that some of these would be a bit of
trouble for the developers).

Sounds like a good idea; I've been waiting for the caption problem to be
resolved before going into preparation of printed material other than
for tests, so I haven't been looking at this aspect so far.
