This is the way I'd LOVE to see exhibits handled (add it to MY wish
list). There are numerous places where I have the same exhibit (e.g. a
group photo) attached to MANY persons or events and it would be nice not
to have to copy and paste the comments and description every time.
I see it as similar to the way citations/sources are handled, where you
link to a specific source, get all the information that goes with it,
but still have a citation memo and citation detail that can be
customized for each citation --- or similar to the way tag type
sentences are handled. The default sentence is assumed when you "link
to" or use a tag type, but the sentence (in this case, the captions,
descriptions, etc.) could be overridden at the "local" level.
This is the way a previous program, whose name I will not mention (other
than to say that the initials were UFT) handled exhibits -- and for me,
at least, it worked very well.
