Feeling pessimistic at this time of the ?night... Line 584
is probably a last gasp error trap handler that only gets invoked to
write to the log file, and is called at a point where the program has
crashed so far that the real problem point can not be referenced.
Hmmm, I tried lots of things after starting VS beta, and
attaching to TMG for the debugger... Closest I got was a string of
C++ exceptions when right-clicking and picking preferences from the
siblings window -- but no crash.
