Hi, Robin:

I understand where you are coming from. Your argument has merit; after all, an *Image* in the Platonic sense is unaltered by variations in the digital formats by which it is represented.... (I assume that is what you meant by "identical subject", otherwise I do *not* agree with you, at all).

If I had the slightest influence with Bob V., I would have to spend some time pondering this. I think I would focus on questions of how to create a "matrix" of Image Types and their potential uses. The trouble I see is the same as the problem of Memo subfields; there can never be enough.
